Visualiser lets you see your home in new colours

If you own a tablet, or even a smartphone, the Dulux Visualiser App (for iOS and Android) is well worth a try when you’re thinking about redecoration.

The App will show you – quite accurately – how your room will look in whatever combination of paint colours you want. In fact, it lets you virtually paint your walls without a tester pot in sight.

The free app is very well worked out and easy to use. Using the camera on your mobile device, the Dulux Visualizer app uses environmental tracking to detect edges, surfaces and contour changes, allowing you to select the area of an image to colour.

The app can detect the difference between wall space, furniture and fixtures and paints around contours in real time, as long as you don’t move too much.

All you have to do is chose a colour and then press on the wall you want to “virtually” paint.

You can pick any of the 1,200 Dulux paint colours and choose multiple paint colours for multiple walls.

The app takes into account the light in the frame and adjusts the colour of the wall accordingly, so you can see what it will look like in genuine ambient settings.

Once you’ve picked your colour scheme you can order tester pots to make sure of the real-world outcome.

The Dulux Visualizer app is available on iPhone and iPad for free from the iTunesApp Store and on Google Play.

And for all of your decorating – whatever the colours – please call us now on 020 8994 4455.
With best wishes for the new year
